Machine operator / Landscape gardener

Grunnarbeid Vest is seeking an experienced machine operator / landscape gardener for immediate employment.

Do you enjoy working outside? Grunnarbeid Vest is looking for a person with experience of landscape gardening work or groundwork with or without a certificate of apprenticeship. If you enjoy planning new areas and are in good physical shape, you may be the one we are looking for.

WORK TASKS

Work with landscaping, stone walls, kerbing etc.
Build and perform maintenance on smaller roads and open areas, steps, walls, fences etc.
Undertake stonework using cobbles, slate, granite etc.
Perform drainage work and smaller trench work, manholes etc.
Groundwork on larger sites, levelling work, trench isolation etc.

QUALIFICATIONS WANTED

Certificate of apprenticeship as a landscape gardener or machine operator is an advantage but not a requirement
Experience with stonework: laying of patios, kerbing, groundwork
Driver’s license class B, (BE is an advantage)
Good Norwegian or English skills, both speaking and writing
Machine operator certification M2 and M4 is an advantage

PERSONAL QUALITIES

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outside and is interested in the profession. You are creative and can see possibilities in all kinds of areas.

You should be comfortable using machinery/equipment used in maintenance work, e.g. 2-ton mini excavator. You are concerned about your own and others’ safety. You should consider yourself responsible, hard-working, solution-oriented, punctual and sociable.
